# Altomic.ai > Altomic builds private AI intake assistants exclusively for estate planning, probate, trust administration and elder law firms. The assistant answers every inbound enquiry in under 60 seconds, screens it against the firm's asset and matter minimum, and books qualified families onto a partner's calendar 24/7. It never gives legal advice. **Founder:** Mohamed Abdi **Domain:** https://altomic.ai **Contact:** https://altomic.ai/#book **Category:** Legal intake automation for estate planning and probate law firms ## Who we serve (and only who we serve) We work with one market: **estate planning, probate, trust administration and elder law firms.** We do not serve general practices, personal injury, real estate brokerages, insurance, or accounting as a primary engagement. We occasionally take adjacent work — trust litigation, or tax advisory alongside an existing estate engagement — but the product is built for estate intake and nothing else. Typical fit: a boutique or mid-size firm with an enforced asset or matter minimum, 40+ inbound enquiries a month, and Clio, Lawmatics, Smokeball, MyCase or PracticePanther already in place. ## Why estate intake is its own problem - **Enquiries arrive outside office hours.** Deaths and hospitalizations do not respect a 9-to-5 intake desk. A large share of estate and probate enquiries land at night, on weekends, and in the days immediately after a funeral. - **Families call three firms the same afternoon.** A grieving executor works down the search results until someone answers. The first real response usually gets the retainer. - **The qualification gate is not budget.** It is estate value, county, matter type, and whether probate has already opened. - **The conversation is ethically constrained.** Capacity, undue influence, unauthorized practice of law and conflict checks are all live risks that a generalist sales bot handles badly. ## What we do - **Instant intake response.** Missed calls, web forms, emails and chat all land in one thread and are answered in writing within 60 seconds, day or night, in the firm's own tone. Voicemails are transcribed into the same thread. No synthetic voice is used on calls with grieving families. - **Qualification to the firm's floor.** The assistant applies the firm's stated asset minimum, jurisdiction and matter-type rules. Families below the line receive a courteous referral out. - **Booked consults, not chat logs.** Qualified families are placed onto the right attorney's calendar, with the full transcript written into Clio, Lawmatics, Smokeball, MyCase or PracticePanther for the conflict check. - **Hard ethics guardrails.** The assistant cannot interpret a document, predict an outcome, comment on capacity, or quote an unapproved fee. Anything edging toward legal advice is escalated to a person on the firm's team by SMS or chat. ## How it works 1. **Blueprint call (free, 45 minutes).** We review the firm's last 90 days of intake and lock, in writing, exactly what the assistant may and may not say. 2. **Custom build (~10 days).** We build the assistant against the firm's real, redacted enquiries and integrate it with the practice management system. 3. **Two weeks of shadow mode.** The assistant drafts every reply and sends nothing; the intake team approves and sends. It goes live only after the firm has read two weeks of its real work. 4. **Go live and tune.** We review real transcripts with the firm weekly for the first 90 days, then monthly. Total: about three and a half weeks from kickoff to the first live call. ## Pricing - One-time **Custom Build** fee: **from $12,000** (most single-office firms land at $12,000–$15,000; multi-office or multi-system builds go higher — fixed in writing before kickoff) — covers discovery, knowledge base, conversation design, practice management integration, and launch. - Flat monthly **Run & Optimize** retainer: **from $1,500/month** — covers hosting, model usage, monitoring, and ongoing tuning. - **60-day standard:** if the assistant is not answering every qualified enquiry in under 60 seconds within 60 days of go-live, we work for free until it does. - Month-to-month after launch (30 days' notice). The firm owns the configuration, the transcripts, and the integrations. No exit fee. ## Common questions **Can it give legal advice?** No, and the constraint is designed in rather than instructed. It cannot interpret a document, predict an outcome, comment on capacity, or quote a fee the firm has not approved. Those questions are handed to a person. The full written constraint set — what it will say, what it will never say, when it escalates, how data is handled, and who signs off — is published at https://altomic.ai/compliance. **Does it work with our practice management system?** Yes — Clio, Lawmatics, Smokeball, MyCase, PracticePanther, Filevine, Actionstep and similar, plus the firm's calendar and team chat. **How fast can we launch?** Three weeks from kickoff to a built and integrated assistant, then two weeks of shadow mode before it answers a caller directly. **Who is it not for?** General practices, cold outbound solicitation of any kind, high-volume low-fee document work, firms with no practice management system, or anyone wanting an AI to give clients legal advice. **Does this replace an intake coordinator?** No. It covers the hours nobody is staffed for and the mechanical part of intake — the 2am first reply, the facts, the firm's minimum applied consistently. Anything requiring judgment escalates to a named person with a full transcript already written. The firm's people keep the judgment, the relationship and the law. **Who owns it?** The firm does. Configuration, transcripts, and integrations live in systems the firm controls. ## The Estate Intake Standard v1.0 Altomic publishes an open, versioned specification for how an automated intake system may behave inside an estate planning, probate or trust practice, at https://altomic.ai/standard. It has fourteen numbered clauses across five sections — Response, Scope of speech, Qualification, Escalation, and Supervision and record — and each clause carries a test a managing partner can run. It is released under CC BY 4.0 so any firm may adopt it, cite it in an RFP, or apply it to a competing vendor. Every assistant Altomic ships is graded against it at go-live and reviewed against it quarterly. ## Key pages - Home: https://altomic.ai/ - The Estate Intake Standard v1.0 (open specification): https://altomic.ai/standard - Estate intake compliance (what it will and won't say): https://altomic.ai/compliance - Partner brief (one-page internal memo: scope, constraints, timeline, cost, vendor questions): https://altomic.ai/brief - Book a strategy call: https://altomic.ai/#book - FAQ (cost, timeline, ownership, phone handling): https://altomic.ai/faq - Intake leak estimate (what slow replies cost a firm): https://altomic.ai/roi
